The Abbey Awards Night Annual Bash, "The Envelope Please..."
Benefits AIDS Project Los Angeles

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA - January 26, 2004 -- Already famous for spotting movie stars, martinis and Hollywood's hottest men and women, The Abbey in West Hollywood will once again transform itself into "Oscar Alley's" sexiest and most outrageous awards night party - all in the name of charity.

"The Envelope Please..." returns to the The Abbey February 29, and aims to raise over $100,000 for AIDS Project Los Angeles. This year's event is held in conjunction with OUTFEST and is produced by Abbey owner David Cooley and White Party impresario Jeffrey Sanker. Festivities take place from 5 p.m. to close, "Oscar Sunday."

"West Hollywood gives to The Abbey all year round. Come Oscar time, everyone comes to The Abbey to help it give back to the community," says David Cooley, owner of the landmark West Hollywood destination. "It's a great time for a great cause."

In a fashion scene set to rival any red carpet, The Abbey experience will be amplified with thundering sound, plasma viewing screens, and multiple monitor locations. The all-you-can-eat-and-drink event is sponsored by Finlandia Vodka and takes place on Robertson Blvd; dubbed "Oscar Alley" for its proximity to both the Vanity Fair and Elton John soirees.

But be warned that just wearing your "Sunday best" won't get you in to this "evening to remember" without advance planning - private cabanas are almost sold out at $3000 a piece - so make your table reservations or purchase individual tickets today.

"Hollywood loves to celebrate itself," says promoter Jeffrey Sanker. "By throwing the best party of Hollywood's favorite night of the year, we can have a huge impact for AIDS Project Los Angeles and have a great time doing it."
