AIDS WALK 2004 ABBEY BREAKFAST

WEST HOLLYWOOD - Thousands of people of all ages participated in the 20th annual AIDS WALK LOS ANGELES. Participants walked more than six miles through West Los Angeles, and raised more than $3 million for HIV and AIDS-related programs in LA County. The morning began with a breakfast at The Abbey Food and Bar in West Hollywood, hosted by owner David Cooley, for celebrities, AIDS Walk VIPs and speakers.

AIDS Project Los Angeles, one of the nation's largest AIDS service organizations, provides direct services to more than 10,000 men, women and children living with HIV and AIDS in Los Angeles County. Services include prevention education, a food bank, professional dental care, housing assistance, mental health counseling, women's services and case management. APLA is a leader in the provision of bilingual HIV treatment information, in print and on the Internet, and advocates for effective AIDS-related policies and legislation on the local, state and federal level.

Those spotted brunching at The Abbey include: Eric McCormack (Will & Grace); Nina Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding); Hal Sparks (Queer As Folk); LA Mayor James Hahn; Doris Robert (Everybody Loves Raymond) and John Spencer (The West Wing).

Breakfast included a wide array of fruits, bagels, lox, yogurts, desserts, eggs, Abbey blended teas, cappuccinos, espressos coffees and more.
